Walcott Verbal Moves ASU into Top 10 of '28 Recruiting Classes

Bryn Walcott has quietly flown under the radar of most school's recruiting radar throughout the season.  The 6'2" OH from Sudden Impact, a smaller club in Washington State, can be definitely called a "high ceiling prospect" but the it was amazing how many schools didn't even know about the Washington prospect when June 15th rolled around.  It's amazing because she was being scouted heavily by several Top 10 programs that saw her cannon for a right arm and could gauge her arm velocity in her 16s season already.  "one of the most powerful arms in the class and many people don't even know about her" one coach told me back in April.  "we are seriously considering Walcott just simply because of her arm strength.  The rest will come."

Well in the end Arizona State landed the arm and the rest of the potential in the Washington star and their highest PPV recruit in the 5 years since we have been ranking athletes.  Now we have Bryn much higher "ranked" thank any other sites, but that comes from very solid sources that had her as their #2 option as an OH in this class.  She just doesn't get the notority because of geography and lack of NTDP invites, but coaches know her future talent.  The commit moves ASU up to #7 in the 2028 Class rankings and puts them as the Top Recruiting Class of the Big XII for now.  It's a great opportunity for Walcott and a great talent for ASU.
