Strecker Shines at NTDP, Earns High Praise from College Coaches

Elli Strecker, a 2026 Louisville commit and rising middle blocker, continues her ascent into the national spotlight.

Last week at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, Strecker competed in USA Volleyball’s National Team Development Program (NTDP) with the U19 age division—and she didn’t just hold her own. She stood out.

While Louisville associate head coach Todd Chamberlain was on-site working with the U17 group, Strecker, a year older, was turning heads across the training gym. Over the course of the multi-day training block, numerous college coaches in attendance gave Strecker glowing reviews, noting her improved physicality, court presence, and consistency at the net.

Once considered an under-the-radar recruit early in her journey, Strecker has now exploded onto the national scene, recently earning the title of #1 overall ranked player in the state of Indiana for the 2026 class.

She also graded out as one of the top-performing middle blockers in her age group during NTDP, with some coaches even suggesting she deserves a spot on a future USA National Team training roster.

Her performance is a major win for Louisville, solidifying what already looks like a powerhouse 2026 recruiting class—and giving Cardinal fans even more reason to be excited about the future of the program.
