Penn State aggressive in landing Nebraska's Bridges

Penn State didn't have many needs after one of the deepest and most talented 2027 Classes in America, but Libero was one of them.  So Katie Schumacher-Cawley and staff targeted their #1 option and acted swiftly in locking up a verbal commitment from.....Nebraska's top libero?  In a move that reads oddly, yes, the Nittany Lions wandered across a state line they normally don't venture into (during recruiting or volleyball season if they don't have to), but they grabbed one of the most aggressive and intense liberos in the class.  Averi Bridges has quietly, but intensely, worked her way onto the U17 National Team by performing well in some of the biggest gyms possible, and she's never afraid of a big moment.  That's exactly what it takes to play for the 8x National Champion Penn State program, which expects only excellence.  Bridges is currently our #3 libero in the class and Top 35 overall.
