Naomi Stevenson: A Natural Leader Making Her Mark in the 16U NTDP

It was immediately evident during Monday afternoon’s NTDP training session that Naomi Stevenson is a natural leader and encourager, always the first to clap hands and motivate her teammates. A 6'1" outside/opposite from NC Volleyball Academy in the Class of 2029, Stevenson consistently brought positive energy that elevated the players around her. An intangible trait that often becomes just as valuable as physical tools in high-level training environments. From a technical standpoint, she showed a strong understanding of blocking responsibilities, closing effectively from both the outside and right-side and using her length to take away space at the net. Offensively, she attacked with confidence from the outside, including several well-placed line shots, and looked comfortable in serve receive, delivering controlled first contacts. Stevenson is definitely one to watch as she continues to develop within the NTDP.
