Create a Player ProfileKenna Miller Rocks The National Anthem Before Senior Night Victory

Texas closed its 2025 regular season with a win at home against South Carolina, wrapping up conference play with a 13-2 record. This match marked senior night for the Horns, where Emma Halter, Devin Kahahawai, Whitney Lauenstein, and Kenna Miller were honored after the 4-set victory. Before the match, however, Kenna Miller sang the national anthem in front of the sold-out crowd of 4,065 in Gregory gym and absolutely crushed it. She is a woman of many talents, and singing is certainly one of those talents.
Texas began the match looking dominant, winning the first two sets 25-16 and 25-21. You could really see some things the team has been working in practice show up on gameday. Ella Swindle was active on the setter dump. Swindle was getting Torrey Stafford very involved from the back row, going back to it even when it wasn't working. Taylor Harvey was active in the offense. The Texas block was looking more like the big block the program is known for.
But in the third set, the tides turned and Texas dropped one 19-25. After the match, Jerritt Elliott said "We just took our foot off the gas" and "We lost our intensity." The course corrected in the fourth to close out the victory. Throughout the match, Coach Elliott flipped back and forth between using Kahahawai and Lauenstein on the double sub with Rella Binney. On the choice of whether both players will continue to be used going forward, he said "We're trying to figure those things out, but we need both of them right now."
And finally, after the match, Coach Elliott had this to say about this year's senior class:
"Oh, they're special. They've given so much to this program obviously, 3 out of the 4 were here for two national championships. Bringing Whitney in to see her grow has been really special, but you know, they've been great at all of their different roles. They've had different roles, some of it harder than others, but they've all embraced them and been a big part of this program, it's really special."
