Janiah Burrage Says "We Are!" as Penn State Scores Another Top Commit

After libero Averi Bridges committed to Penn State right on June 15th, things went a bit quiet for the Nittany Lions, but it was clear things were brewing over in Happy Valley. Fast forward to today, and outside hitter Janiah Burrage out of Forza 1 North has announced her commitment to Penn State.

A Gold-level prospect with a 10'8" approach touch, Burrage has perhaps the most physical upside and peak athleticism of all the outside hitters in this class. Her reach and quickness make for a deadly combination on that left pin, and the positive attitude and work ethic that she's demonstrated at tournaments makes her a great fit for the Penn State program. She and Bridges are the only two members of the Penn State 2028 class now and will be joining just one year after a very exciting 2027 class gets on campus, at which point the Nittany Lions are going to have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to top-tier talent on the roster.
