Future Bison Alert: Lipscomb Lands Lib/DS Channing Minton

Channing Minton has found her next home, committing to Lipscomb as a 2028 libero/DS who should be a strong fit for the program. The MAVS KC defender has earned recognition as a Top 50 player in the state of Missouri for the 2028 class and has continued to build a résumé centered around consistency and poise in the back row.

Minton brings steady serve receive, quick defensive reads, and a controlled platform that allows her to make difficult plays look routine. She plays with a calm presence behind the attack and has shown the ability to provide stability in high-pressure moments.

Her résumé includes a 2025 USAV Junior Bronze Medal in the National Division and membership in the LOVB Club Athlete Council, adding both competitive experience and leadership recognition to her background.

With an 88.3 PPV, Minton lands in our high-level range, and her defensive consistency should translate well to the next level. Lipscomb is getting a steady, experienced back-row player who should fit nicely into what the program is building.
