'27 Outside Hitter Hanna McGinest Commits to Texas Tech

2027 outside hitter Hanna McGinest today announced her commitment to Texas Tech of the Big 12. This is a big-time commit for the Red Raiders, who have struggled in recent seasons. At 6'1", McGinest brings physicality and impressive hang time to the net, allowing her to score from many parts of the court. Most recently, she helped Sierra Canyon High School to a Division 1 CIF championship in 2025.

It's safe to say that athleticism runs in the family: Hanna's sister Rylie plays for USC and their father Willie is a three-time Super Bowl champion with the Patriots.
