Earlier this week, reigning National Champions Penn State hosted their annual select camp, but their first ever “8 Star Camp”! Their first since 2014, this most recent star definitely caught the attention of the volleyball community, bringing an array of talent to Rec Hall on June 11!
Here are 8 uncommitted “stars” that showed up to 8-Star!
Shaye Witherspoon - 2027, Outside, Rockwood Thunder 16 Elite, PPV 294

Taylor Harrington - 2027, Middle, Paramount VBC 16-1, PPV 256
Caroline Ward - 2027, Right Side, Boiler Juniors 17-1, PPV 248
Keilani Ledaja-Brewer - 2027, Outside, Triangle 17 Black, PPV 255
Harper Broyles - 2028, Libero/DS, Alliance 15 Ren, PPV 210
Evelyn Shirk - 2029, Setter/Right Side, 1st Alliance 15 Gold
Mikayla Matuszko - 2029, Outside, Tribe 14 Elite Cardinal
Some other prospects that attended were standout Class of 2027 Nejari Crooks (PPV 259), who didn’t participate due to an injury, along with Class of 2028's Madlen Gloessner (PPV 271), who we recently highlighted, and Chloe Burbage (PPV 202), among many others!
Sarah Floyd, the transcendent Class of 2028 Right Side, attended camp at Penn State on June 2, notably, as she was down at Texas for Jerritt Elliott and company this week!
It will be interesting to see how this momentum for PSU will play out this June 15th, and we will keep our eyes peeled on other top camps to keep everyone up to date!
