Outsides at Camp: Stand Outs

This past week, Creighton hosted their first camp of the summer. Not only did many potential future recruits show up to play, but so did the Bluejays. One exciting addition was both Norah Sis and Kendra Wait returned for camp both fresh off of their debut season in the professional league. Also 2026 Rayna Christianson made an appearance at camp which was exciting to see her work in with the current Bluejays.
Let’s break down the outsides who stood out the most and have a great shot at getting recruited to a top team in a few years.
Allie Hudgins: Coming from Dallas, TX and Texas Advantage Volleyball club, Allie was definitely a standout at camp this year. Hudgins is special because at 6’4 she has a height advantage over many outsides and even most middles. This allows her to show off her skills hitting around the block and putting up a huge block on the outside. Hudgins has an exceptional deep cross kill that is hard to read giving defenders a real challenge.
Reagan Wallraff: It was a special day for Wallraff as she is an Omaha native and plays for Nebraska One as her club team. Playing both middle and outside in high school for Elkhorn North, Wallraff’s slide is unmatched shocking defenders with balls near the ten foot line. Reagan also plays great defense and can dig great balls and immediately be ready for a kill.
Olivia Permenter: Out of McKinney, TX and also playing for Texas Advantage, Permenter can put down great balls from the outside and right side. In addition, she has a great back row attack which Creighton has been known to use with players such as Sis and Ava Martin. Olivia does a great job hitting around the block and with her height at 6’2 can make a big impact.
Logan Vogt: Coming from Des Moines, IA and playing for Iowa Powerplex, Logan is an incredibly versatile player hitting out of the outside, middle, and back row. Vogt shows a lot of promise hitting balls in either corner with ease or reading the block to know where to place her shots.
Avery Kapeller: Playing at High Performance Volleyball Academy and living in Davisburg, MI Kappeller has a great vertical that allows her to get on top of the ball to hit amazing shots down the line. She also isn’t afraid to read the court and place a tip which is a great way for Avery to show her versatility. Kapeller also plays great defense doing a great job reading opponents serves.
All of these girls showed up and stood out at camp and it will be exciting to see where they commit to play in the coming year, maybe even a new Creighton recruit in the mix!
