Young Cardinals Shine at Louisville’s Future Flock Elite Camp

The University of Louisville women’s volleyball program hosted its premier summer event, the Future Flock Elite Camp, on July 6–7. Widely regarded as the highest-level and most talent-rich camp the program offers, this two-day event brought elite instruction, high-level competition, and a gym full of future stars—several of whom are already committed to the Cardinals.
Class of 2026 Standouts
Three of Louisville’s five 2026 commits were in attendance—and they didn’t disappoint.
Amirra Bailey – The 6'5" middle blocker out of Tennessee Performance Volleyball Club and Bowling Green, KY, dominated throughout the weekend. Her physicality at the net, explosive blocking, and confident presence stood out, but it was her infectious energy and leadership that truly elevated the gym.
Elli Strecker – A product of Team Indiana, Strecker showed exactly why she’s one of the top middle blockers in her class. She was unstoppable on quick sets and slides behind the setter, combining vertical pop with a savvy feel for timing and spacing.
Jordyn Gray – Representing Carolina Juniors Volleyball Club, Gray brought the heat at the net and poise in the back row. Her six-rotation ability was on full display, with powerful attacks from the outside, clean serve receive, and aggressive defense.
Class of 2027 Talent on Display
Two of Louisville’s three 2027 commits took part in the camp and made early impressions as players ready to take the next step.
Lizzy Bower – The Idaho Crush libero played with a spark that was impossible to miss. Bower delivered elite-level serve receive and digging while directing the back row with confidence and clarity. A true floor general in the making.
Carsyn Comer – Although she only attended day one, Comer—a middle from Munciana Volleyball Club—used her time well. She flashed her athleticism with quick attacks and smart blocking reads, confirming why she’s considered one of the most dynamic middles in her class.
The Who’s Who of Additional Standouts
While committed players drew plenty of attention, a number of top uncommitted athletes made strong cases for future Cardinal consideration—especially those from the Class of 2028.
Louisville Fans Take Note of Rising 2028 Prospects
While the Cardinals have already secured several key pieces for upcoming classes, the next wave of talent is already making noise. A group of 2028 standouts, many of whom built early chemistry together at the U18 National Team Training Camp, turned heads with their advanced skill and natural synergy on the court.
Among them were:
- Cala Haffner – Setter, Team Pineapple
- Shayla Rautenburg – Outside Hitter, Nebraska ONE
- Josalyn Samuels – Libero, Kairos Volleyball Club
- Leilani Lamar – Outside Hitter, formerly OTVA
This crew consistently elevated the pace and tempo of each session with crisp ball control, competitive fire, and strong team play.
Additional 2028 athletes who caught the eyes of both coaches and onlookers:
- Averi Bridges – Libero, VCN Volleyball Club
- Sade Bello – Outside Hitter, Houston Juniors
- Tegan Loechler – Outside Hitter, Milwaukee Sting
- Tatum Kelly – Setter, 1st Alliance
From back-row brilliance to front-row firepower, these athletes brought it all—and they’re just getting started. With strong fundamentals, mature court presence, and elite potential, these names are ones Cardinal Nation should be tracking closely.
