What We Learned Watching the Cards at All Skills Camp

While the All Skills Camp brought in plenty of young talent, our attention was locked on the Louisville squad running the show. With so many returners and fresh faces in the gym, it was a great chance to see how the 2025 team is coming together. Here are a few early takeaways as the Cards gear up for fall.
Meester Means Business
Chloe Meester looked dominant. She’s got the physicality, presence, and confidence to turn heads—and she did just that all weekend. The big question now? Where exactly does she fit into this already stacked roster. One thing’s for sure—she’s going to make the position battles this fall very interesting.
This Team Likes Each Other (Like, Actually)
There’s something about the vibe this year. The team chemistry is loud—in the best way. From warm-ups to water breaks, they looked like a group that genuinely loves being together, and that energy is going to translate when the lights come on.
Chloe Chicoine: Certified Gym Rat
If you’re looking for someone who just lives in the gym, look no further than Chloe Chicoine. Always the first to grab extra reps, she brings the kind of relentless work ethic that sets the tone. If we had to sum her up in one word? Competitor.
Reese is Bringing the Heat
Let’s just say: opposing blockers, be ready. Reese’s heavy arm is going to be a serious problem for defenses this fall. When she connects, it’s not just a kill—it’s a statement.
Hannah Kenny: Sneaky Athletic
Don’t sleep on the freshman. Hannah Kenny might be new to the roster, but she’s already making an impression. She’s quick, explosive, and has the kind of instincts you can’t teach.
Cara Cresse Flashbacks
We got a little throwback moment from senior middle blocker Cara Cresse—and it was a treat. She showed flashes of her 2023 self with those slide attacks that make us wonder: could this be her best season yet?
