Starting Setter for Cats' Opening Game Against Lipscomb Confirmed

Months of speculation have come and gone following the departure of former setter Emma Grome upon her graduation and we finally know who will take up the setting responsibilities for the Cats to begin the 2025 volleyball season. 

After sitting out her first year on campus and playing as a serving sub last year, it will be redshirt sophomore Ava Sarafa who will be tasked with running the offense Saturday afternoon against Lipscomb. This will mark the first career start for Sarafa as she looks to lead a potentially explosive offense for the Wildcats.

First serve against Lipscomb is set for 3:00 pm ET inside Allen Arena in Nashville, Tn. and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
