Nebraska star reaches new milestone

It was a happy homecoming indeed for Nebraska Cornhuskers star Harper Murray who reach a new milestone over the weekend during the team’s sweeping of the Michigan State Spartans and Michigan Wolverines.

The Ann Arbor Michigan native reached a 1000 kills in her career in the Cornhuskers victory Friday night against the Michigan State Spartans.

The the two time All-American is hitting at a .513% clip over the last three matches and is averaging 3.75 kills/set on the year.

Murray was just recently named Co-Big Ten Player of the Week last week and wouldn’t be surprised if she achieves that honor again soon.

Despite her recent accolades, Husker head coach Dani Busboom Kelly says Murray in my opinion hasn’t even played her best yet.

“She’s playing great. She’s so confident,” she said. “I feel like we say this after every game, but it’s impressive how she’s using the whole court. She knows when she’s got to blast it. She knows when to be smart. It’s just impressive.”
