Louisville Coaches Hit the Road for Club Camps and Recruiting Blitz

It’s a busy stretch for the Louisville women’s volleyball coaching staff, who are diving headfirst into one of the most important recruiting weeks of the summer. With top talent training across the country, the staff is taking a divide-and-conquer approach—working club-hosted college camps and scouting elite athletes from coast to coast.

Here’s where each Louisville coach is headed and what camps they’ll be working:

Todd Chamberlain – Associate Head Coach & Recruiting Coordinator

Coach Chamberlain’s week is a whirlwind of high-level volleyball:

  • Tuesday Morning (June 4) – Runs a joint college camp in Indianapolis with athletes from The Academy and Munciana volleyball clubs
  • Tuesday Evening – Drives to Chicago to work a camp at 1st Alliance Volleyball Club
  • Wednesday–Thursday – Flies to Dallas to lead two full days at Texas Advantage Volleyball Club (TAV)—one of the top programs in the nation
  • Thursday Night – Heads to St. Louis for a Friday camp with Rockwood Thunder, home to multiple Louisville recruiting targets

CC McGraw – Assistant Coach

Coach McGraw will cover key Midwest and Central U.S. clubs:

  • Monday (June 2) – Departs for South Dakota
  • Tuesday (June 3) – Works a full-day camp at Kairos Volleyball Club
  • Midweek – Travels to Cincinnati to work with NKYVC (Northern Kentucky Volleyball Club)
  • Friday – Wraps the week at a camp for Topeka Impact in Kansas City

Parker Mikesch – Assistant Coach

Coach Mikesch is combining recruiting evaluation and player development support in a high-impact itinerary:

  • One day in Columbus, OH – Observes JVA Summerfest, watching top prospects including 2026 Louisville commit Elli Strecker
  • Flies to Colorado Springs – Attends USA Volleyball’s NTDP training sessions
  • Evaluates top U19 talent—including multiple Louisville targets
  • Supports RS Kalyssa Blackshear, who is training with the U21 National Team
  • Next week – Heads to Houston to work a one-day college camp at Houston Skyline Volleyball Club

Why It Matters

These camps aren’t just about recruiting—they’re about visibility, relationships, and continuing to elevate the Louisville brand on a national scale. The Cards are consistently pushing to land top-tier talent, and this coast-to-coast summer schedule shows just how committed the staff is to keeping the program among the nation's elite.
