Inside NTDP: Louisville’s Present—and Future—Shine at USA Volleyball Camp

Last week, we shared the exciting news that Louisville Associate Head Coach Todd Chamberlain was invited to coach at USA Volleyball’s National Team Development Program (NTDP) in Bradenton, Florida. But Coach Chamberlain wasn’t the only one representing the Cards at IMG Academy.
Several future Louisville standouts were also in action—competing in the U19 group at the highest level of national team training for their age bracket.
Meet the Future Cardinals:
- Elli Strecker | Middle Blocker | Team Indiana
- Blair Thiebaud | Setter | Houston Skyline
- Jordyn Gray | Outside Hitter | Carolina Juniors
All three players were selected to train with the best of the best in their class, surrounded by top athletes and collegiate coaches from across the country. While many of these athletes have already made verbal commitments, NTDP offers an elite environment where development, competition, and exposure go hand-in-hand.
Their presence at IMG is a testament not only to their individual talent—but also to the trajectory of Louisville Volleyball.
Why It Matters:
The NTDP isn’t just another summer camp. It’s a national team pipeline—an environment for future U.S. National Team members and NCAA stars. These are the players who shape the next generation of the sport. And Louisville is already in the mix.
It’s also a major advantage for the Cardinal coaching staff. Coach Chamberlain’s direct involvement with NTDP gives him a front-row seat to national-level trends, emerging talent, and competitive dynamics. It’s a rare opportunity to both teach and scout, strengthening Louisville’s already elite recruiting edge.
The Takeaway for Louisville Fans?
Get excited.
The next wave of talent heading to the KFC Yum! Center has already been identified on the national stage—and they’re not just keeping up. They’re leading the way.
