2027 Libero Lizzie Bauer still so excited to a Cardinal

One of my highlights of attending the Durango Fall Classic in Vegas this weekend was being able to see 2027 Louisville commit Lizzie Bauer play.  Bauer who was the exclamation point on Dan Meske's first class at the 'Ville and filled the Cards most pressing need, has been having a remarkable season for her Skyline HS team (her first ever actually playing libero, thanks to her little sister) "yeah I've had to play OH with Bellamie (Beus a best friend and another All-American and a Kentucky commit ironically), but nope now that my little sister is finally up at high school I get to play Libero." Lizzie told me.  Followed very quickly by "heyyyyyy how have you been I hoped we would get to see you this weekend!"  Like I told Ville Nation, that is simply what you are getting in Bauer; she just has that total package that will make her a fan and program favorite.

We made some small talk about the tournament and other players who were playing that are very talented, and then I asked her about competing vs. some of these teams that are from LA and San Diego and have many more advantages over their smaller team. "You know, I think we are playing very well.  We won our bracket, and yes, Sierra Canyon beat us, but in Set 1, we really battled; Set 2, it got away from us, but we know we have to play very solid or we won't win. It's simple (this, after they had just defeated a Cathedral Catholic team that was top 10 in America).

As for Lizzie on the court it hasn't dropped off, best bro in the tourney covering such a wide range of area and helping teammates with anything questionable at all.  Always communicating and upbeat with a younger squad and they were facing giants the whole weekend.  She just enjoyed the challenge of any opportunity to get a touch.

We talked a bit about Louisville and that answer hadn't waivered on bit from this summer either "I love that program.  I'm so excited to get there, I just love everything about Louisville, yeah I'm so ready for sure."

She has moved up our PPV scale and is one of the top 'bros in the country regardless of class.
